Planned Gifts
A planned gift may provide a way for you to make the gift of a lifetime while at the same time offer significant benefits for you and your loved ones. Through your will, trust, retirement plan or other deferred gift, you can plan gifts in ways that have little or no impact on your present financial position.
Your contribution can be made immediately, over a period of years or after your lifetime. Including the Santa Fe Opera in your estate plans can be a simple process, and in many cases, you can accomplish the desired results through minor modifications to your existing plans.
The most common planned gift at the Santa Fe Opera is a charitable bequest. Bequests can be unrestricted, allowing the opera the flexibility to use your gift where it is most needed, or restricted, allowing you to specify how your gift is to be used. Please call our office to discuss a restricted bequest. Following is suggested language that may be useful to you and your attorney:
SPECIFIC DOLLAR OR RESIDUARY BEQUEST “I bequeath $X (or X% of my residuary estate) to the Santa Fe Opera, a New Mexico non-profit corporation in Santa Fe, NM (Tax ID #85-0131810).”
