Dress & Weather
Whether you prefer casual, informal, or formal attire, your own sense of style is welcome. The Opera is an open-air theater with a roof over all seating areas. Evenings can occasionally be cool and/or rainy. Please be aware that the temperature can drop considerably between curtain time and the end of the opera. Learn more about Santa Fe weather.
Easy Ticket Exchanges
If you cannot attend on a particular evening, you may exchange your tickets for another performance of the same opera, subject to availability. There is no service charge to exchange renewable subscription series tickets. Single tickets and "Compose-Your-Own" subscription tickets incur a $10 per ticket exchange fee. In order to process an exchange, the original tickets must be received at the Box Office via mail or in person at least 48 hours in advance of the first affected performance.
Lost Tickets?
Don't worry—simply contact the Box Office and replacements will be waiting for you.
No Refunds or Cancellations
No refunds or cancellations. This condition applies to all ticket purchases, as well as shuttle buses and preview buffets. Opera Titles and infrared hearing devices are provided as additional free services for patrons and no refunds will be issued in the event of malfunctions.
Can't Attend?
Please don't let your tickets go to waste—donate them to the Opera for resale! You will receive a written acknowledgement for tax deduction purposes. Tickets must be received at the Box Office by mail or in person and may be donated up until 30 minutes before the performance.
parking area
The parking lots open three hours prior to the performance. We suggest arriving at least 30 minutes prior to your performance time to avoid traffic congestion. Attendants will greet and guide you. Parking is free, as is a shuttle between the lower parking lot and the theater entrance. Vehicle alarms which activate during a performance will be disconnected. Learn more about the Opera's policies for tailgating and larger parties.
