Benjamin Britten took inspiration from the community of Aldeburgh in northern England, with its many musical groups of all ages and abilities, in writing Noah’s Flood. In that same spirit, drawing from the talents of the children and teenagers of our community, The Santa Fe Opera presents this charming and ingenious work during the 2013 festival season and in Albuquerque and Santa Fe in November of 2013. Stage director, Kathleen Clawson has worked with renowned santero Charlie Carrillo to create the world of Noah and his family that suggests New Mexico. This production is done in collaboration with Albuquerque Youth Symphony.
