SPECIAL EVENTS INTERN (Position filled for the 2013 Season)

Description
Responsible for assisting the Special Events staff with the preparation and execution of special events associated with the Opera’s Board of Directors and Donors during the summer season.
Requirements
Events include extensive participation with Opening night events, the Gala Celebration, pre-performance Donor benefit luncheons and dinners, Cast and Company recognition parties following performances, recognition events for the Board of Directors, and various Development sponsored Donor cultivation events.
Duties are varied and will include:

Frequent, professional interaction with donors

Designing,printing, addressing and mailing invitations

Developing and maintaining an RSVP tracking system

Running errands in and around Santa Fe

Helping guests with their transportation needs

Assisting in the event set-up and take-down, problem-solving and greeting of guests.
Qualifications:
Ability to multi-task in a very busy & noisy work environment, and adapt to varied work hours including many late nights. Must be willing to obtain NM alcohol certification. Must be willing to wear suitable formal or dressy attire.
Hours - 35 to 40 per week.
Dates - Monday May 13th through Saturday August 17th, 2013.
