    EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMS INTERN (Position filled for the 2013 season)

    Description

    Working primarily with the Volunteer Liaison and Director of Education and Community Programs, manages all aspects of the Backstage Tour Program, a public program with a significant volunteer component. 

    Requirements

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Training of volunteers, scheduling, liaising with various departments impacted by program, and volunteer mentor program.  Also may be called upon to support other activities of the department including, but not limited to:  student produced opera, community concerts, preview dinners, symposia, and Youth Night at the Opera.  Depending on time and individual initiative, this position may also be assigned special projects related to education and community programming.

    Qualifications:  Flexibility; ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment; proactive and independent work style, along with ability to work as member of a team; strong personal skills; computer skills.

    Dates:  May 13th to August 24th, 2013.
