The General Director's Premiere Fund
This newly established fund honors the Company's major achievements in commissioning new operas and staging important premieres at The Santa Fe Opera, a heritage that includes 43 American premieres of L'amour de loin and Adriana Mater by Kaija Saariaho, Thomas Ades's The Tempest, and Tan Dun's Tea: A Mirror of Soul and 11 World Premieres.
Raising $5 million in endowment for the Premiere Fund will provide a dedicated, permanent income source for the many added expenses of producing new works—ensuring our ability to regularly pursue major commissions and premieres in future years.
