"My son was asked by his mom if he wanted to see the new Indiana Jones movie and told her, 'No, I want to see the same opera we saw last weekend!' He loved getting dressed up and seeing people sing the story."

Youth Nights at the Opera

Youth Nights at the OperaSince 1959, more than 225,000 young people have experienced the Santa Fe Opera on these special evenings, when families have the opportunity to attend final dress rehearsals at greatly reduced prices.

The 2008 Youth Nights included Falstaff and The Marriage of Figaro. An informal enrichment program called "3, 2, 1...Opera!" was offered prior to each performance and during intermissions.

Youth Night tickets are sold in packages at special family group prices (one adult with at least two children or two adults with three or more children). Tickets for additional children or young adults are also available.

Plans for 2009 Youth Nights at the Opera are underway and will be announced at a later date.
