Community Concerts
The Opera's Community Concerts are held in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and neighboring communities during the summer and in December.
The holiday performances feature talented members of our Apprentice Program for Singers, performing a wide-ranging repertory of arias, songs of the season, musical theater selections, and sacred music.

VANESSIE SANTA FE - Thursdays, December 4 & 11. $10 cover charge offers two unique performances on each evening in Vanessie's piano bar. The first set begins at 6:30 pm, followed by the second set at 8:30 pm. For dinner reservations, call Vanessie's: 505-982-9966 (no reservations in the piano bar).

Spring Opera Tour
Each year The Santa Fe Opera takes its act on the road. Last March, April, and early May, soprano Jamie-Rose Guarrine and baritone Andrew Darling, along with music director Kirt Pavitt, gave 35 performances of Gian Carlo Menotti's The Telephone for school children. There were also 13 free public concerts offered in cities from Westcliffe, Colorado to El Paso, Texas. In total, more than 18,000 audience members enjoyed a Spring Opera Tour performance in 2008. The next Tour's schedule will be announced in early 2009.
Santa Fe Opera Week at Vanessie
Each summer Vanessie Santa Fe, one of the area's most popular restaurants, hosts a special week-long event to benefit the Opera. 20% of proceeds for the week are donated to the company. Apprentice Singers perform in Vanessie's non-smoking piano bar for four evenings. The "grand finale" evening is a special "I Sang with The Santa Fe Opera" night, during which audience members join in with the Apprentices on well-known opera and musical theater choruses. Opera Week at Vanessie dates will be announced in spring 2009.
