spring opera tour
Each year The Santa Fe Opera takes its act on the road! Last year our apprentice singers toured 13 cities in New Mexico and Texas, offering 35 performances for school children along with 11 free public concerts. On average, more than 18,000 audience members enjoy the Spring Opera Tour each year. Plans for our upcoming seasonal tour will be announced in February.

Community Concerts
The Opera's Community Concerts are free and are held in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and neighboring communities during the summer and in December. Each performance features talented members of our Apprentice Program for Singers, performing a wide-ranging repertory of arias, songs of the season, musical theater selections, and sacred music. The free summer concerts will take place in July in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. The schedule will be announced in late spring.

Santa Fe Opera Week at Vanessie
Each summer Vanessie Santa Fe, one of the area's most popular restaurants, hosts a special week-long event to benefit the Opera. 20% of all food and beverage proceeds for the week are donated to the Opera. Apprentice Singers perform two sets in Vanessie's non-smoking piano bar for three evenings. The fourth evening is the week's grand finale event, "I Sang with The Santa Fe Opera!" On this special night, audience members join the Apprentices singing well-known opera and musical theater choruses. Plans for next summer's Santa Fe Opera Week at Vanessie will be announced in late spring.
