Seasonal employees begin arriving in the spring and by early July, more than 600 employees are on board to make the upcoming season come to life!

The application process for the Production Department has closed for the 2014 season. The Production Department application process for the 2015 season will begin in December of 2014.

    Position Ends Approximately: various

    Representatives provide excellent service to patrons of the Opera by assisting them with ticket purchases and program questions. Therefore, it is important to become familiar with the season's repertoire, the layout of the theater, and the general rules of the house.

    There are several positions with weekly hours fluctuating between 20 and 40, dependent on the needs of the box office. Start dates are from mid-April to early June.

    House Managers

    House management oversees activities in the theater during the rehearsal phase and throughout the performance season. The house manager is repsonsible for activities in the theater and surrounding areas. Knowledge of theater management and the ability to provide superior customer service, while keeping a cool demeanor under pressure, are the qualities necessary for success.

    SEASONAL RECEPTIONIST (Position filled for the 2014 season)

    During the summer season, the volume of visitors and phone calls to our offices increases dramatically.  The individual in this position greets guests and callers in a professional and efficient manner, and offers assistance on a variety of general topics.  Many other administrative duties are also performed.

    BUSINESS OFFICE ASSISTANT

    The Business Office and Administration Assistant/Intern will support the projects and workload of the Opera’s various business functions.  This individual will be a responsible team member, working under the direction of the appropriate department head or staff member, as required for each task.

    Assist with projects and workload of the marketing department to promote the current and upcoming seasons, thereby gaining an entry-level understanding of the scope of its functions. Additionally, lead in the customer service position at the Information Podium on performance evenings.
